One of my all time favorite brands, while it seems "basic" or "weird", is Kylie Cosmetics. I've been a long time fan of Kylie and her cosmetics line, and I was fortunate enough to be gifted with her birthday mini set! I thought I would share my thoughts on the set, giving an honest review on one of the brands I'm most excited for!

The Packaging
The exterior of the packaging is a simple, yet chic reflective gold. The iconic KYLIE is very prominent and bold. The black font adds an admirable contrast on the cover. It makes the packaging seem more classy and chic, a perfect addition to any lipstick lover's collection.

The interior of the box and the outside of the lip sets are gold as well. I am in love with the gold design and theme! I've been loving all the gold and rose gold looks, and I'm loving this addition to my collection! The lip tubes have the iconic Kylie drip look, rocking the gold as well. The tubes are a good quality, having a slightly heavy feel to them. My casing of the lipsticks were lightly scratched/chipped, but it is probably my fault (it got slightly beat up when I was taking it home). Overall, I love the look of the set!

The Lipsticks
The formula of the matte liquid lipsticks are super soft, light formula. When I applied it to my lips, I felt like I had to apply a little more with the darker shades to get the bold look I wanted. I think the shades given offer a wide range of looks and options to use. The shades are as follows:
- A matte brown, perfect for any natural look (for some) or brownish nude look. On me, the brown only worked for me when I'm a bit more tan and bronzy.
- A light pink, perfect for pinkish looks and more natural looks. The pink looked wonderful when I used it for a neutral look.
- A deep wine red, perfect for a bold look or special occasion. When I used it, it offered a deep, defined look to enhance my lips.
- A light orangey nude shade: I'm not a huge fan of orange shades, so I might not always use this, but I enjoyed the tone of this look. I think it's great for any summer-y look.
- A magenta, great for any bright and bold look. This shade looks super nice and works with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Palette wonderfully! I used this shade and the ABH Modern Renaissance palette, and I loved the outcome!
- A light pink: I used this lip color when I went for a simple, neutral look and I fell in love. Since it is winter, I won't be using it all this much. Once it becomes spring time, I will be using this 24/7.

Through my trials with these lipsticks, I definitely recommend carrying the lipsticks with you when you're on the go. The lipsticks started to fade once I ate and drank, but the appearance and feel of the formula is wonderful!
