GLAMGLOW x My Little Pony Glitter Mask: Is It Worth It?

The other day, I received my latest splurge: the Glamglow x My Little Pony Glitter Mask. I personally love skincare and face masks, so I was super excited to try this out! I am here today to share my opinion and thoughts on the mask! Currently, the mask is marked at $59.00 on Sephora, and contains 1.7 oz of product in it.

The Packaging
The packaging itself was super cute! When I opened the Sephora box, I was greeted with Glamglow's iconic face mask box shape (which is super unique and bold!). I ordered the purple mask, so the packaging was a super cute and fit the theme of my little pony. The purple mask was based off of MLP's character Twilight Sparkle, and her character was on the box, along with some sparkles!
Inside the Packaging and the Jar
When you open up the box, you are met with lots of fun! The lid itself holds fun ideas to do while you pamper yourself and enjoy the mask, such as binge your favorite show or take the perfect selfie. The next thing you see is the actual jar of the mask. The design of the jar is super chic and modern, but it still holds the fun MLP theme. At the bottom of the package, there are some super cute My Little Pony themed stickers and the mask applicator brush. The brush itself is actually a silicon, flexible mini brush that leaves no product behind! You don't have to worry about cleaning bristles of the brush, and it leaves a little to no brush cleaning. Personally, all it took was just a little wipe with a tissue or makeup wipe to get the small remnants of the mask on the brush.
An Honest Review of the Product Itself
Since this mask had gotten so much praise and love from influencers and celebrities, I had high hopes. I still hold many of them, and I can agree with many others on the greatness of this mask. When I opened the jar itself, it was super smooth and clean. Upon seeing the mask, I was slightly confused. Based on visual aesthetic itself, I was both impressed and let down. The mask had a great stretchy, gooey consistency with tons of sparkles like promoted. However, the color itself was less like the purple I had seen in pictures and on the box, and more of a magenta shade.
When I applied the product to my face, it was very crisp and cool, with a slight tingling undertone. I have combination skin, and that day it happened to be more oily, but I doubt that was a cause. The face mask was relatively easy to apply, especially with the help of the silicon brush. As I kept applying, the burning increased. The first few minutes of actually wearing the mask, the burning was relatively there. It didn't hurt, I just feeling like it was the mask working its wonders. The mask dried nicely, only taking my face about 15-20 minutes to fully dry. The removal of the mask itself was super satisfying to remove. Only like one or two little remnants were left on my face, most likely due to those areas not fully dried. The color became slightly more on the purple side as it dried, but it still was a good mix in my opinion. In the picture, it looks very purple, but in person it is just slightly more pink. Still very pretty!
Overall Review
Overall, the My Little Pony X GLAMGLOW Glitter Face Mask, marked at $59.00 on Sephora, is a great product. I happened to snag it while it was 50% off, but if you're looking to be a little fun and trendy with your face masks, you should definitely consider this. Although the color itself seemed a little more on the pink side for the purple shade, on camera and after it dried, it's a nice purple color. The mask does tingles for about five minutes at first, but after that, the product is wonderful and I could definitely see an improvement in my skin and the firmness. I believe the mask is definitely worth a try, and I could see almost nothing wrong with the mask and product itself. I definitely look forward to using this product again in he future and trying more skincare products!
